Diabetes Hotel

 HOUSE RULES
Discipline yourself. Aim for these goals to prevent
or to reverse Diabetes.
Guests in a hotel symbolize glucose in food and drinks.
The hallways of the hotel symbolize the bloodstream.

TWO MEALS A DAY
Limit check-in times of guests.
Curtail drinking soft drinks, energy drinks, alcoholic drinks
and juice throughout the day.
A steady stream of guests is overcrowding
the hallways of the hotel.
The hotel is double booked!
Guests are not allowed to enter their hotel rooms.
More rooms (fat cells) are being built.
Too many guests! (too much food, not enough exercise)

NO SNACKS
This is the motto of Over-eaters Anonymous.
Get your calories from your meals instead.

MEALS
Fill up at the meal and include dessert.
Sit at the dining table.

WATCHING TV
Limit eating, snacking and mindless eating
while watching TV.
The five senses are engaged.
Input is coming in to the eyes and ears from the TV.
That makes it so easy for mouth input.
The fueling station is at the dining table, not the couch.

POPCORN
Serve popcorn as an appetizer at the dining table,
rather than munching throughout a movie.
Serve it like bread sticks at a restaurant.
This can curb appetites while a good meal is cooked.

SIPPING
No sipping sodas and energy drinks throughout the day!
This may be the number one cause of obesity.

BRUSH YOUR TEETH
After a meal, brush your teeth.
You are less likely to want to continue eating or grazing.
